Nigel Green – Managing Director
Nigel commenced his Building Services Engineering career at YRM Engineers in the late eighties, after serving a four year craft apprenticeship. During his time at YRME, Nigel worked on a number of demanding and difficult projects including Royal Marsden Hospital, Channel 4 New Headquarters and three ‘back to back’ fast track projects, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Zeneca Headquarters, Euston ‘B’ Block.
Nigel established NLG Associates in the middle of 2001 to provide a mechanical and electrical design consultancy, to offer high value and effective design service solutions in the professional construction services sector to a wide variety of clients, requiring the delivery of new and refurbished properties within their real estate portfolio.
Since establishing NLG Associates, Nigel has worked on a number of social housing projects including, Barton House, Edith Summerskill House, Herbert Morrison House, Alkham Avenue, Portland Avenue, Hindle House, George Downing Estate Phases 4 & 5, Arlington House and a number of other key worker and social housing developments.
Nigel is responsible for the co-ordinated delivery of all projects at NLG Associates, and is very passionate about sustainable homes and fuel poverty. One of Nigel’s strengths is his consistent approach to fuel conservation by utilising low / zero carbon energy technologies.
Nigel supported his local college; the college of North West London lecturing part time to third year NVQ level two and first year NVQ level three students in Building Services Engineering for seven years prior to commencing NLG Associates. Currently Nigel is a level one rugby coach with the Kilburn Cosmos RFC, being head coach of the under 12’s squad and being an active member of the club senior and junior committees, responsible for attracting new club sponsors.
Kevin Drury – Operations Director
Kevin commenced his career as a fully indentured apprentice building services design engineer with Lakers Mechanical Services, who were acquired by Kyle Stewart contracting in 1976. Working his way up to principal contracts manager, Kevin gained vast experience of onsite supervision, management and co-ordination and installation of building and infrastructure engineering services. Kevin has spent the last 26 years working in the building services consultancy sector, and worked closely with Nigel at YRM Engineers where he was an Associate Director and Team leader.
Kevin regularly carried out regional office and inter department project design reviews and audits of numerous scheme designs and developed standardised design details library and base “house specification” that both could be modified to suit local requirements and projects. Kevin also has extensive rail experience which he gained during his secondment to Rail Link Engineering a consortium of Bectel, Halcrow, Arup, and Sistra working on a major rail infrastructure project in Stratford.
Kevin has worked on a number of social housing projects including Swan Barn, Mount Pleasant Care Home, Hale Village, Heathside and Lethbridge, Central Middlesex Hospital Park Royal, Digby Road Hackney, Clapham Estates. Kevin is responsible for the programming of all projects at NLG Associates, ensuring that each project is allocated the most experienced engineer for that particular project.
Kevin is also a very ‘hands on’ design director who is actively involved in the design process of projects within the office ensuring that the client’s objectives are maintained. Kevin was actively involved in local youth football development and coached from under 5’s through to under 16’s, and maintains a close interest in his club Meadow Youth FC.
