Haberdashers Aske's School for Girls

The works comprise Phase 2 of the school’s strategic masterplan and involves a new five storey rebuild of an existing block to provide a dedicated “Science Hub”. This will allow more flexible science teaching, upgrade facilities to reflect the prominence of this subject at the school as well as improving the overall thermal performance of the building and increasing natural light levels.

The overall design strategy is to echo the scale, materiality and form of the existing so that the building appears as a considered whole. The composition of the roof, windows and over cladding aims to update the 1970s design aesthetic in an elegant and subtly refined form.
