The transformation of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead office, York House, is complete.
Originally housing 300 staff members, the building has been extended and refurbished internally to a CAT A specification, with a contemporary and welcoming three floor office space.
The original pitched roofs were removed and a new second floor extension was added, the building was over clad and the windows were replaced, widened and lengthened to improve the visual impact and increase the daylight into the building.
To provide an attractive view for the adjacent residential owners, a green roof was added complete with PV, to provide 10% of the entire building’s energy demand.
The project also included significant hard and soft landscaping with 92 parking spaces, five of which are disabled spaces, and a further 30 cycle spaces were reconfigured.
